It’s that time of year again, out with the old and in with the new, and Intuit is definitely in with the new with their launch of QuickBooks 2015, not only by displaying a new branding logo, but adding many new features and improvements. Here are just a few changes that we are excited about.
Insights – This is a new dashboard added to the Home Page. Similar to the Company Snapshot but not as detailed. The Insights page provides more up to date and interactive information for your company.
Pinning Notes – You are now able to pin a note to a customer or vendor. This note will always be visible in the selected centre, and can be set as a default note that will be shown on selected reports.
Time & Expenses has been added to the Income Tracker’s money bar. If this is not something that your company will use, this feature can be excluded.
Flags on Billable Time & Costs – When you are adding billable time and costs to an invoice, you can now see how many records are available in various tabs, so you are less likely to miss something.
Reporting is an important tool when working with QuickBooks, so Intuit has focused on users requests when making improvements to this section.
Revised Appearance – Making the reports easier to view, Intuit has added background shading, increased vertical and horizontal lines and more spacing between lines. These changes and more are only visible on screen, printed reports are not affected. Basic customization is still available when selecting reports.
Comments – You are now able to take a snapshot of any report and record notes or comments to any line. Great feature!
Sending Multiple Reports – When emailing reports you are now able to send a group of reports to one email address, the only negative about this feature is that you are not able to change attachment names.
